The AACE International’s Source Magazine has published Mark Nagata’s article, entitled “Home Office Overhead – Which Formula Should You Use?” in its August 2020 issue, in the “Bonus Technical Article” section. This article describes the difference between unabsorbed and extended home office overhead costs, details how various home office overhead formulas calculate a contractor’s unabsorbed or extended home office overhead costs, and identifies how each of the methods calculate different potential damages from one another using an owner-directed suspension example and an extended project duration example.
