The New Croton Lake Gate House project involved a $75 million project to build a new gate house for the Croton Reservoir and make additional improvements to the water supply system for the City of New York. The work included the construction of a temporary bridge, tubular steel cofferdam templates, 75-foot high driven pile circular cofferdams, rock anchors, a cast-in-place concrete structure, a connector tunnel, and the installation of large-diameter stainless steel piping and valves, mechanical equipment, and control systems within the new gate house.

Trauner evaluated claim issues to include differing site conditions, alleged productivity losses, delays, design deficiencies, over-blasting, concrete cracking, specification interpretation issues, over-inspection, and extra work. Trauner participated in negotiation sessions with the contractor's experts, prepared interrogatories and questions for depositions, prepared for trial, and testified at depositions.
