John S. Crane, Jr., PSP, CFCC

John is an expert in critical path method scheduling, construction management, delay analysis, claims analysis, and training. He manages scheduling and claims prevention and resolution assignments for private, local, state, and federal construction projects and clients.

As an expert, John has testified at arbitration, has been deposed, and has presented at mediation. He also has extensive experience in the preparation of written testimony, interrogatories, discovery requests, questions for depositions and cross-examination, and trial exhibits.

John has directed and performed all types of analyses including prospective time-impact analyses; delay, acceleration, and inefficiency analyses; assessed responsibility for contract changes; and calculated additional costs and damages.

John has experience on airport, bridge, commercial, highway, residential, prison, water and wastewater treatment, school, port, health care, sports arena, and hotel projects.

John develops and reviews CPM baseline schedules, schedule updates, and recovery schedules. In addition, John reviews and drafts scheduling specifications. Notably, John served as the Project Director for TRAUNER’s CPM scheduling development, review, analysis, and claims prevention and review contract for a $6B, multi-project, toll road construction program.

John has extensive experience with project controls, planning, and scheduling using Oracle’s Primavera P6 and P3, Suretrak, Microsoft Project, Prolog, Expedition, and other software platforms.

John presents seminars and webinars on the topics of CPM scheduling and construction claims prevention and analysis. He has presented these programs for many groups, including the National Highway Institute, the Associated General Contractors of America, the National Business Institute, the Construction Management Association of America, and Lorman Education Services.

Prior to joining TRAUNER, John led project management services for general contractors in Florida. He uses this on-site experience to bring real-world solutions to the project challenges of his clients.
