Bryan’s expertise lies in the areas of construction claims preparation and evaluation, review of critical path method (CPM) schedules, delay analysis, expert report preparation, dispute resolution, and training.

Bryan directs and provides forensic analysis of project documents; analysis of project delays, inefficiency, and damages; and develops and reviews critical path method schedules. He also provides owner’s agent services such as bid advertisement and award, project management, and change order evaluation and management. Bryan has reviewed schedules for owners such as the New York City School Construction Authority.

Bryan is a certified instructor with the Federal Highway Administrations National Highway Institute (NHI). He has presented NHI’s course titled Managing Highway Contract Claims: Analysis and Avoidance.   He has also presented claims-related webinars, written and presented technical papers at international conferences, and presented at mediation.

Prior to joining Trauner, Bryan spent over 10 years working as a structural engineer, designing state, local, Federal government, and commercial projects including bridges, marine structures, electric transmission, hospitals, schools, and corporate headquarters. He has worked as an engineer for owners, consultants, and contractors.  Bryan brings a wide variety of project experience and knowledge, including new design, rehabilitation of existing structures, identifying deficiencies in existing structures, and construction inspection.

Bryan was the lead structural engineer who administered the construction of the structural system for an irregularly shaped, glass-enclosed, student services building for The State University of New York Cortland. The building featured differently sloped exterior walls on all sides, multiple roof elevations, an elevated track hung from the ceiling, support and medical offices, a pool, and a cafeteria. Bryan has also provided dive support to licensed commercial divers during underwater inspections of bridge foundations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
